Submitting Assignments |
All students should use Microsoft WORD for composing assignments. If you do not have Microsoft WORD, you may use another word processing software, but you must save your files as rich text format (.rtf) BEFORE attaching them to D2L discussion postings or submitting them to the D2L ASSIGNMENT DROPBOX.
At our D2L course site only WORD (doc files) or rich text format (rtf files) can be submitted to be viewed on screen. Otherwise, I cannot open files saved in WordPerfect or WordPad formats.
Essays should be formatted according to MLA Guidelines (see the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, chapter 4). Endorse your assignments in the top left corner as follows:
Your name
Professor Nist
English 1121.30 (or 1121.31)
Date:
Your essays should have well chosen titles,
but they don't need separate title pages.
Use the ASSIGNMENTS DROPBOX at our D2L course site to submit projects. Detailed instructions for this tool are given in the D2L HELP. I expect assignments to be uploaded by 11:59 p.m. on the date due. DO NOT FALL BEHIND. Fifty percent of online students fail to complete the course because they do not submit assignments on time. Once you fall behind, it is very difficult to catch up.
