Tips for Viewing Powerpoint Presentations

Before you begin viewing a PowerPoint presentation, you may want to go BACK and BOOKMARK the page you just came from. Then, at any time, you can use your bookmark to exit the slide show and return to the page you came from.

Every PowerPoint presentation begins with an Index or Table of Contents page. On this page you have a numbered list of the slides that appear in the slide show.

"Click here to start": this command at the top of the Index page will take you to the title slide of the presentation. From slide one you may move linearly through the entire slide show to the end by clicking on the > button on each slide. In some slide shows the buttons are on the right side of the screen. In other shows they appear below the slide. You may have to scroll down or to the right if the buttons are not immediately visible on your screen.

This button will take you back to first slide in the presentation.

This button will take you back to the previous slide.

This button will take you to the next slide.

This button will take you to the last slide in the presentation.

This button will return you to the Index or Table of Contents for the presentation. Since this index includes the Writers' PLACE header with navigation buttons, you can move from this page to the other main areas of the site.

Remember, you may use your BOOKMARK at any time to exit the slide show and return to the Writers' PLACE page that offered the link to the presentation you are viewing.
